When in the airport I always head straight for the Beauty area and last Autumn I spotted with my little blue eyes a new fragrance from L’Occitane. Created by a trio of beautiful perfumers, Calice Becker, Nadege Le Gerantezec and Shyamala Maisondieu, L’Occitane Terre de Luminere was born.
L’Occitane’s 1st entry into the world of gourmand aromatic fragrances takes its inspiration from that moment in the day when the sun sets, the sky takes on magically golden colours and the scents of Provence come alive. The name Terre de Luminere means “Land of Light”. What keeps this fragrance from becoming too sweet are the zesty and aromatic notes expertly combined with the edible notes of the gourmand elements. Top notes include Bergamot, Ambrette Seed and Pink Pepper with middle note of Lavender Honey. Base notes include Acacia Flower, Bitter Almond Essence, Tonka Bean and White Musk.
The fragrance is available as an Eau de Parfum in 50ml and 90ml sizes priced as €65 & €89 respectively. Auxiliary products available are a Body Lotion at €27 and a Shower Gel at €18.50. However what I really adore about the official launch of Terre de Luminere this February is that there are two sets available in this scent. For those who want to tip their toe into the scent there a Discovery Set available for €30 which contains 5ml Eau de Parfum, 50ml Shower Gel, 50ml Body Lotion and a 30ml Balm. For those like me who fall head over heels for the new fragrance there is the Collection Box for €92 (worth €110.75) which contains the 90ml Eau de Parfum, 50ml Shower Gel, 50ml Body Lotion and a 30ml Balm.
While I love this fragrance, what I appreciate most is where it transports me. If you close your eyes you are transported to that field in Provence. It’s that time of the day when you can feel the last rays of the sun on your skin. It’s the moment when the day has not quite ended but a new day has not yet begun and anything is possible. Its the moment when you have inhaled but not yet exhaled.
You can take a moment to pause and just be.
