Under the guide of Jason Wu the current Artistic Director for Boss Womenswear and following on from the success of Boss The Scent for Him launched last year, this August sees the launch of Boss The Scent for Her. The three keys words to describe this fruity-floral fragrance are Attraction, Seduction and Addiction.
When I hear the description of fruity-floral fragrance I would normally run in the opposite direction but in the name of being more open minded, I decided to give it a chance and I was pleasantly surprised. Top notes of fruity peach are well balanced by the sweetness and freshness of freesia instantly grabbing your attention. The middle including notes of oriental osmanthus with its warm apricot blossom scent draw you in. The base note of roasted cocoa grounds the fragrance giving it its intensity. Boss The Scent for Her is the fragrance you spray before you walk out the door for a night out confident in its sensual yet feminine powers.
German model Anna Ewers is the face of Boss The Scent for Her while British actor Theo James returns as the male counterpart and face of Boss The Scent for Him. The TV campaign was shot by American director, screenwriter and film producer Darren Aronofsky while the print campaign was directed by photographers Inez & Vinoodh. The bottle containing the blush colored juice is encapsulated in sleek lines almost jewel like and is topped with a cap with draws inspiration from a men’s cufflink.
Jason Wu explains “There’s something incredibly powerful and innately seductive about a woman dressed in men’s tailoring, which only enhances her femininity. That’s the idea behind this fragrance, which has the power and strength of the male fragrance, but also has a feminine delicacy to it. It’s like they’re playing a game of equals – man versus woman, both bringing something to the table”.
Boss The Scent for Her is available as an Eau de Parfum in 30ml, 50ml and 100ml sizes.
