Nuit Blanche Paris & YSL

Two of my favourite things in life are fragrance and coffee so it’s no surprise that I am a fan of Yves Saint Laurent’s Black Opium Range. The Eau de Parfum was released in 2014, the Eau de Toilette in 2015 and this year sees the release of the Nuit Blanche referring to the annual Arts and Culture festival held annually in Paris.

At the core of each of these fragrances is a coffee accord layered with white flowers to create fragrances which are edgy yet wearable. The new Nuit Blanche has top notes of Rice and Bourbon Pepper, middle notes of White Coffee and Orange Blossom with base notes of Vanilla, Sandalwood and White Musk. Edie Campbell, the London born model is the face of the Black Opium range adding to the rock’n roll image of the fragrance.

The inspiration for the Nuit Blanche fragrance is the free arts festival which takes place in Paris on the 1st Saturday of October from 7pm to 7am each year. First launched in 2002 this is a celebration of art and culture throughout the city of Paris. Having researched this festival, I am definitely adding it to the bucket list.
