CK2 a Gender Free Fragrance

Calvin Klein newest fragrance launch CK2, is an urban woody-fresh scent. Camillo Pane, Executive Vice President, Category Development, announced it as “a new gender free fragrance that celebrates the endless possibilities of modern connections between two people”.f15_ck2frag_450pxh

It has been 21 years since the launch of Calvin Klein’s CK1 the original “shared” fragrance. The new CK2 balances urban and fresh with notes of Wasabi, Mandarin & Violet Leaf, middle accords of Wet Cobblestones & Concrete with Orris Root & Rose Absolute and a woody base of Vetiver, Sandalwood & Incense.

I didn’t expect to like this fragrance having over worn CK1 in my teens but CK2 is a surprisingly modern fragrance. In it’s attempt to be gender-free, I felt it may also be non-descript but I could not be more wrong. For me this is the perfect work-wear fragrance.

The scent is encased in a thick glass cylindrical bottle, a minimalist design in keeping with the Calvin Klein tradition. The advertising campaign was shot by photographer Ryan McGinley on location in Puerto Rico.

CK2 is instore now and available as 30ml, 50ml and 100ml.
