Chloe Eau de Toilette and Chloe Eau de Parfum tell the story of a modern, subtly sexy, feminine woman who embodies a carefree attitude, not unlike the clothes that Chloe is know for. The highlight of both fragrances is the Rose, a timeless flower but shared in a modern way.
Chloe the fashion brand was founded in 1952 by Gaby Aghion and many designers have made their mark there – Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney and Phoebe Philo while their current creative director is Clare Waight Keller.
The Chloe Eau de Toilette launched this year is a new version of the fragrance launched in 2009. The more modern version is concentrated around a bouquet of white roses and was created in conjunction with perfumers Michel Almairac and Sidonie Lancesseur. Top notes include Bargamot, Lemon & Magnolia, middle notes of White Rose, Gardenia & Rose while base notes include Cotton Flower and Musk.
Actress and model Dree Hemingway is the face of Chloe Eau de Toilette having appeared on the Chloe runway in March 2015 in Paris. Clare Waight Keller says she was chosen as “She completely embodies the Chloe girl’s spirit and attitude. Her radiant beauty and personality express everything I wanted to convey with the fragrance. It is her incredible ability to be elegant, nonchalant and spontaneous all at once that is both modern and charming”.
Put aside any preconceived notions of rose fragrances and I think you’ll be surprised by this delicate and feminine fragrance.
